Lost in tHe woods...

today I read Leo a book he got for Christmas ,Leo the Lightening Bug
and in it his mother teaches him about practice practice practice... Which is what I started doing for my NY resolution.Since I always get lost in the woods of my imagination... I decided to start to sew one project a week. To begin I made baby girl skirts, next I am working on dresses and little bloomer outfits. My plan= in one year I will be ready to do something bigger... For now, my clothes will be available on www.twolala.blogpost.com....(note- this name is subject to change.. still deciding and there isn't much left with good ole blogspot.) I will also probs, put them on birdlips etsy shop and am working on a bigcartel shop too.... Also go to Horne homegoods store me likey lotsie. That's where these tea towells are available.

there's something in the air...

I'm not quite sure what is going on with clouds lately. It all started at Christmas when I wrote and illustrated M a story about a could named Clare... Then it was NY day and I saw the most amazing clouds I'd ever seen in my life to date- the ones there is a picture of earlier on my blog... Then every day lately I have been amazed with the clouds they have really been unbelievably beautiful. Then I find playtime and Paris which is very inspriing. Also the blog called a little house of clouds.blogspot.com.. Next I look through Wallpaper mag, yesterday and Bouroullec won best textile of 2009 with these cloud textiles that I am definitely la la loving... ??? who knows- but there is something about clouds lately just you watch and see.

"having will never replace being..."

I love this quote from Ilse Crawford, I read it in her book the other night. Me and Micah are working on an exciting project so i have gootne out all my old standby's to study and get inspiration from.. More on that hopefully if it works out. This is a painting by a girl named Fanny. Her blog is very cool: go here to see it. I love all the colors in it, and want to paint some walls in my house colors that are kinda the same... I love the feeling it is a bit etheral and a little quirky and creepy.

Oh what joy...

christmas was the best year... The highlight was Christams Eve and the nativity. The kids were hilarious and Leo was Baby Jesus, aww...Oh ya and then Santa came and I about ... Ya, you just had to be there. but it was hilarious- haven't laughed that hard in a while...mmm- Plus Santa came to our house and I got a mountain bike, running stroller, new rock climbing shoes( sportiva's:)) and some other great goods. So now me and M have been mountain biking out behind our house on these sweet trials and I'm trying to get good at outdoor things again since I've beena little hiatus... including r-climbing guided by the master C. Perkins...

January/ Enero/Janvier

It may be wierd, but I love January sooo much.. It feels so crisp and clean. Seems almost more exciting than Christmas, to me.. These photos were taken on Micah and I's last date before L came. We went up the canyon and enjoyed the sunset with dinner and then went to a concert after in Cedar of a local band... I like dates with M. These pictures incorporate things I want more of this year..

They grow soo fast.. It seems so wierd to me that I was never much of a baby person before. Now I have such a new found love, adoration and appreciation for all babies, all people and life. Life is sooo wonderful to have and to give.I can't even explain it right, it is beyond me that's for sure... I saw this quote somewhere and I keep thinking about it " Babies what a wonderful way to start people." They are beautiful, so fresh, soft, clean, pure. Strange that they are at the mercy of adults when we should really be at the mercy of them. Oh I love.
